(Warsaw / London, October 3, 2019) Billon Group Ltd. was invited to participate in the third edition of the InCredibles acceleration program led by Sebastian Kulczyk, CEO of Kulczyk Investments. The Polish-British fintech is one of four companies that were chosen to participate in the program at the Trends Festival in Warsaw by Business Insider Polska.
As part of the accelerator, Billon was invited to join a tailor-made mentoring program in which world-class business experts and entrepreneurs pass on their experience in business scaling. At the Trends Festival Billon already participated in one meeting with Zev Siegl, the co-founder of Starbucks, and profited from his invaluable advice.
This year's InCredibles program also includes meetings with prospective business partners and investors at the Google Campus London. The grand finale of the accelerator will take place in November at the SLUSH conference in Helsinki, one of the world's most important startup-oriented events.
Wojtek Kostrzewa, CEO of Billon Group, comments: - I am glad that Billon is included in an elite group of the most promising Polish startups benefitting from the InCredibles program. This accelerator is particularly valuable, as it combines the enthusiasm of startups with the experience of outstanding experts from every area of business. I am confident that the program will provide Billon, but also other great Polish companies, with invaluable knowledge, a guarantee of global success.
Besides Billon, three other companies were added to the InCredibles roster. Those are SolHotAir - a startup working on a solar heating panel; Prosoma - a company using VR for psychological therapy of cancer patients, and Wiperapp - creators of an effective and GDPR-compliant data removal tool. The third edition of the accelerator will include a total of 11 innovative Polish companies.
Jarosław Sroka, board member of Kulczyk Investments and coordinator of the InCredibles program, comments: - This year's edition focuses on practical, bespoke workshops led by the best mentors from Europe and the US. There will also be two-day excursions to meet with potential competitors, investors and clients, including visits in London and Helsinki. Sebastian Kulczyk puts special emphasis on the process of tailoring individual support programmes for each of the companies invited to the program.
About Billon
Billon created the first enterprise DLT system, unifying national currency transactions, document management, and identity management into a single architectural system. Our mission is to unleash the transformational capacities of DLT in the regulated world.
Billon went beyond the initial principles of blockchain by creating a new protocol for encrypting national currencies within existing regulations. We first solved the challenge of transacting micropayments at scale, and we can now also encrypt documents and data on-chain. Our high-performance DLT system is designed to deliver tangible business results in the areas of Account & Transactions, Trusted Documents, and Identity & Data Sharing.
Billon was founded in the UK in 2015, following several years of R&D in Poland. Its unique DLT protocol has been supported by many R&D grants, including the EU Horizon 2020 program. Billon is licensed to issue electronic money by regulators in the UK and Poland, and employs a global team of more than 80 professionals in its two offices in London and Warsaw. In November 2018, the company won the world's largest fintech festival in Singapore, organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, showcasing a solution to zero-cost blockchain micropayments
