Billon's blockchain improves ERGO Hestia's customer service through partnership with BIK and Billon One of Poland's largest insurers ERGO Hestia, together with the Credit Information Bureau, a market leader in information and analytical services, have implemented a document delivery service using Billon Unified Blockchain technology. Digital communication in customer service is increasingly important. In an era of increased digitalization of processes and remote communication, the security of our personal data, and consequently of documents containing information that requires protection, is particularly growing in importance. Blockchain technology makes it possible to solve these problems by enhancing the traditional form of electronic filing of documents and further processing them in a secure, durable medium. BIK has launched a secure document delivery service for ERGO Hestia, thanks to which the insurance company's first customers have already received their documents in the form of a durable medium based on blockchain technology. The solution not only ensures the security, privacy and integrity of the information delivered, but also enables instant access to documents. - ERGO Hestia is highly trusted by its customers and business partners. This is due, among other things, to the fact that we pay special attention to their security and comfort. Blockchain technology provides even greater opportunities in maintaining security along with privacy and a guarantee of unalterable data and documents. That is why we were the first insurer in Poland to decide to implement the BIK solution," says Jerzy Grześkowiak, Deputy Director of the Retail Insurance and Partner Programs Office at ERGO Hestia Group. - The Credit Information Bureau saw the potential of blockchain technology a few years ago and, together with Billon, created a product for the Polish financial sector. The project with ERGO Hestia confirms the usefulness of this type of solution for the insurance sector," says Andrzej Zduńczyk, Director of the Financial Institutions Market at BIK. - Our solution stands out for its high security standard and regulatory compliance. Also of great importance are the real business benefits for the institution using this technology. As part of the BIK Blockchain Platform, it is possible to automatically transfer contracts and documents to customers as part of various service processes, which effectively replaces traditional communication with customers," added Andrzej Zduńczyk. The advantage of the technology used in the BIK Blockchain Platform is the way documents are stored on a distributed ledger based on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). This is a way to prevent unauthorized tampering, such as unilateral document alteration, as well as resilience to document loss by using a method of dispersing multiple copies of data across a network, instead of the traditional method of using a single centralized server. The value of technological innovation and compliance with the requirements of the Persistent Carrier in the BIK Blockchain Platform has been confirmed by the analysis of the Financial Supervision Authority. Moreover, the solution has a so-called business continuity plan in place, as well as an ISO 27001-compliant information security management system. - I am extremely grateful to ERGO Hestia's management and team for their trust and openness to new, pioneering technologies. This is not the first project based on blockchain technology at ERGO Hestia. I am glad that together, in partnership with the Credit Information Bureau, we have prepared a secure solution to automate the process of transferring documents to the clients of the Sopot insurer," concluded Jacek Figula from Billon. The availability of digital services is an important part of the image of financial institutions. The use of blockchain technology also confirms the growing awareness of sustainability, as it enables the elimination of paper documents while optimizing and automating processes, improving service levels and customer relations. Innovative approaches to customer service, is also part of increasing trust in the brand. *** The ERGO Hestia Group is the second largest private insurance company on the Polish market, pioneering the most innovative solutions in the sector.
